Detect AI Watermarks (detectaiwatermarks.com) is a free, browser-first AI watermark detector that scans your text for hidden Unicode characters and lets you clean and copy the result in a single click. It is built for writers, editors, students, teachers, developers, and anyone who ships text to readers, screens, or systems.
In 2025, AI-generated text is everywhere — and so are the invisible Unicode characters it carries. Zero-width spaces, variation selectors, directional marks, and BOM characters leak from AI tools into CMS pipelines, database inserts, screen readers, and search indexes. They cause real, measurable damage: broken layouts, failed JSON inserts, screen-reader bugs, and homoglyph spoofing in phishing.
We wanted a free, private, no-signup tool that would let anyone detect and remove these characters in seconds. No model inference, no API key, no "please log in with your Google account" gate — just paste, scan, clean, copy.
Our scanner covers 30+ invisible Unicode characters across the following categories:
U+200B, U+200C, U+200D, U+2060, U+FEFFU+FE00 through U+FE0F (16 characters)U+200E, U+200F, U+202A–U+202E, U+2066–U+2069U+00A0, U+202F, U+205F, U+2007–U+200AU+00AD, U+2061–U+2064U+2028, U+2029When suspicious characters are found, you can optionally trigger a server-side AI-generated content review for a 0–100 confidence score and a short reason. The review is optional, fails gracefully to a front-end-only result, and never stores your input.
Detect AI Watermarks is operated by a small team focused on text provenance tooling. You can reach us at support@detectaiwatermarks.com or via the contact page.
